Monster Trucks!

So you all may have noticed that this blog has be a little slow lately, and now I’m telling you the reason.

On the trip to Gulf Wars, we passed by Talladega speedway. Back home I got to researching NASCAR racing, and discovered all kinds of websites and videos about monster truck rallies. I can’t believe I didn’t notice this before! I mean, what’s not to like about gigantic trucks with names like Big Dawg and Ruff Time smashing tiny cars?

I’ll still be crafting, but you’ll get a couple of posts a month about knitting, and lots of posts about monster trucks.

Here’s my current favorite:

Comic books? Check. Monster trucks? Check. It’s all my favorite things at the same time! Like cookies and cream ice cream. Or a pani puri taco. Or something else that combines two awesome things into one.

And this blog? Back on track to being awesome.

About HappyGoth

By day, I'm a graphic designer. By night, I'm a knitter. I'm doing my part to keep Hotlanta stylish. I imagine that if you don't already understand the title of the blog, you're probably confused and perhaps slightly annoyed, but never fear - I do have a reason (and it's a good one). Having gone to hear Stephanie Pearl McPhee, and then having been inspired to blog about knitting, I found myself wondering what to call the blog. I recalled a conversation I had with Mouse and the Chicken Goddess about why it is a Bad Idea to anger knitters - this conversation was following SPM, aka the Yarn Harlot telling the assembled throng about Those Who Do Not Understand Knitting and Therefore Belittle It Much to the Chagrin of Others, or TWDNUKTBMCO, which is not the acronym she used but is the one I'm using because I forgot hers - that is, we are numerous and we all have very pointy sticks, easily transforming into an angry mob. Therefore, knitters = angry mob.

All jokes aside, I’m really glad that the tires of the truck in the above photo are matched (I mean, that they are rotated such that the logo is at the same angle). I can’t describe how much it would bother me were that not the case.

I believe the response is “Waah!”
