Brrrrr.

So far, I have made it until just now (2:30) before turning on my space heater. Dang, but it’s cold in here! I would feel more proud of myself if it were actually bitterly cold outside. As it is, it is merely damp and chilly, but since the office is in a converted railroad roundhouse with gigantic, beautiful, drafty windows, it feels uncomfortably cold in here.

And then I saved this post, having intended to place it on the blog yesterday, but today I remembered it (it totally didn’t go up yesterday), and I feel a little more justified in being cold, because it was quite cold (for Atlanta) this morning, and my fingertips were bluish. Only just now I ate some soup, and I feel much better.

I have set aside the Super Secret project and the Nine Taylors socks and the First Socks and the Rivendell Socks (I like socks!) in favor of Christmas present-type knitting. I am using stash yarn (my own hand-dyed stuff!), and am feeling pretty good about this. Also, it smells like fruit. That’s generally pretty awesome (so maybe kinda sorta awesome that it merits three adjectives at once!). I shall post photos just as soon as I find the motivation and camera cord that allows me to do so.

And I really will start on the Nine Taylors sock (again) soon, once things are knitted for people. And once I finish the First Socks (I promised the ChickenGoddess I’d have them done before the end of the year).

About HappyGoth

By day, I'm a graphic designer. By night, I'm a knitter. I'm doing my part to keep Hotlanta stylish. I imagine that if you don't already understand the title of the blog, you're probably confused and perhaps slightly annoyed, but never fear - I do have a reason (and it's a good one). Having gone to hear Stephanie Pearl McPhee, and then having been inspired to blog about knitting, I found myself wondering what to call the blog. I recalled a conversation I had with Mouse and the Chicken Goddess about why it is a Bad Idea to anger knitters - this conversation was following SPM, aka the Yarn Harlot telling the assembled throng about Those Who Do Not Understand Knitting and Therefore Belittle It Much to the Chagrin of Others, or TWDNUKTBMCO, which is not the acronym she used but is the one I'm using because I forgot hers - that is, we are numerous and we all have very pointy sticks, easily transforming into an angry mob. Therefore, knitters = angry mob.
