Because I went to vote today (go and vote early, if you can, because it’s going to be crazy on Tuesday!), and although I was in line for a full three and a half hours, I finished many rows of Rivendell sock. I think I’m nearly to the toe now! And I wasn’t bored at all. I had two coworkers with me, which also helped.
But boy, am I ever glad to have that over with. Somebody in line ahead of us commented, “Thank god this only happens every four years.” I am so in agreement.
(Maybe tomorrow one of the coworkers will send the cheesy photo of us in line, and I can show you just how crazy it was. Tuesday is going to be pandemonium, on the level of perhaps an x-box release or a really gigantic concert or the line for DragonCon tickets at 10:30am on the Saturday of the con, since that is kind of what it was like today)

I imagine that if you don't already understand the title of the blog, you're probably confused and perhaps slightly annoyed, but never fear - I do have a reason (and it's a good one). Having gone to hear Stephanie Pearl McPhee, and then having been inspired to blog about knitting, I found myself wondering what to call the blog. I recalled a conversation I had with Mouse and the Chicken Goddess about why it is a Bad Idea to anger knitters - this conversation was following SPM, aka the Yarn Harlot telling the assembled throng about Those Who Do Not Understand Knitting and Therefore Belittle It Much to the Chagrin of Others, or TWDNUKTBMCO, which is not the acronym she used but is the one I'm using because I forgot hers - that is, we are numerous and we all have very pointy sticks, easily transforming into an angry mob.
Therefore, knitters = angry mob.

Ugh. My early voting location is right in the middle of the ghetto, so I’ve opted to vote on Tuesday. My polling place is the same as Obama’s, though, so I’m hoping for an extra circus-like atmosphere!
Holy cow!!!!!!!!!! I’m glad we voted 2 weeks ago! I had NO DOUBT about who I do NOT think is qualified to be a VP!!!!!
