And then

We moved all our stuff into our new house, which is consequently very full of stuff (when did I get all this stuff, exactly?). The new house is so much more awesome than the old one, and has the added benefit of a large open expanse of uncarpeted flooring, so we can watch the cats slide around at Cat Freakout Hour (which happens, like, three times daily).

In honor of the new house and to christen it properly, the ChickenGoddess and I knit in the dining room, listened to Blue Oyster Cult, and consumed cupcakes. The day before we had an impromptu picnic in the kitchen. I am nearly done with the pink socks, and I think those will need to be finished so they can also be the first knitting project finished in the new house (as well as the first project worked on). By some bizarre stroke of fate, my knitting managed to make it to the top of the pile, and so was very easy to locate. Not so easy to locate is the power cable for my laptop, so here’s hoping that I find it before the battery runs out of juice. I might have to send out some emails to the people who helped pack things.

And now I’m back into the crazy work week, and am waiting for my husband to bring me the lunch that I forgot (it is hibachi chicken! and fried rice!).

Here is my latest favorite comic:

Hark! A Vagrant!

About HappyGoth

By day, I'm a graphic designer. By night, I'm a knitter. I'm doing my part to keep Hotlanta stylish. I imagine that if you don't already understand the title of the blog, you're probably confused and perhaps slightly annoyed, but never fear - I do have a reason (and it's a good one). Having gone to hear Stephanie Pearl McPhee, and then having been inspired to blog about knitting, I found myself wondering what to call the blog. I recalled a conversation I had with Mouse and the Chicken Goddess about why it is a Bad Idea to anger knitters - this conversation was following SPM, aka the Yarn Harlot telling the assembled throng about Those Who Do Not Understand Knitting and Therefore Belittle It Much to the Chagrin of Others, or TWDNUKTBMCO, which is not the acronym she used but is the one I'm using because I forgot hers - that is, we are numerous and we all have very pointy sticks, easily transforming into an angry mob. Therefore, knitters = angry mob.
