Not so much

I feel that with my out-of-character weekend post yesterday, I’m excused from today, except to say that Knitty is doing nothing to help me overcome my sock addiction. You hear this, Knitty? Well, you should. Because you keep putting up awesome sock patterns and I can’t help but print them out and add them to my ever-growing stack of things to cast on (even though I have four socks in progress at the moment). However, to your credit, you have given me something to do with the Marrakesh sock yarn that I tried to make Rivendell socks out of, which I will now frog and reuse in the lovely flower pattern you’ve posted this month. I have sparkly grey yarn for Rivendell. And it’s so much fun, I don’t even care that I have to knit it all again (I don’t really know where I am in the pattern anymore).

About HappyGoth

By day, I'm a graphic designer. By night, I'm a knitter. I'm doing my part to keep Hotlanta stylish. I imagine that if you don't already understand the title of the blog, you're probably confused and perhaps slightly annoyed, but never fear - I do have a reason (and it's a good one). Having gone to hear Stephanie Pearl McPhee, and then having been inspired to blog about knitting, I found myself wondering what to call the blog. I recalled a conversation I had with Mouse and the Chicken Goddess about why it is a Bad Idea to anger knitters - this conversation was following SPM, aka the Yarn Harlot telling the assembled throng about Those Who Do Not Understand Knitting and Therefore Belittle It Much to the Chagrin of Others, or TWDNUKTBMCO, which is not the acronym she used but is the one I'm using because I forgot hers - that is, we are numerous and we all have very pointy sticks, easily transforming into an angry mob. Therefore, knitters = angry mob.

I’m thinking I need to knit these: http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEsummer08/PATTspringforward.html, probably in the green/blue/purple yarn I dyed.

And possibly jaywalkers in the rainbow yarn, since it’s going to be so busy with all of the colours that any complicated pattern would be lost in it.

I love Knitty, even if it slays me constantly with too many good ideas and not enough time to make them all. Gee, I wonder where my starteritis comes from…
