I can has Advil?

The migraine from yesterday has returned today, with a vengeance. I have a feeling it’s making up for being thwarted yesterday by me and my previous Advil. It’s that kind that’s called an “ice pick” migraine, which I think is a very fitting title, since that’s what it feels like. I’m hoping that’s what it is, at least. If it isn’t, then I can’t wear contacts anymore, and that makes me very sad. Contacts = cheap sunglasses from Target, and I love cheap sunglasses from Target. I’ll take a break from the contacts tomorrow and see if that helps at all.

At Knitch this past Sunday, I discovered that another knitter and I are knitting the exact same Secret Project, in the same yarn, and almost the same colorway! I feel so validated. She is much farther along than I am,  though, and so I intend to use her as a litmus test for my progress. “Oh, so it’s supposed to look like that! Oops!” You know what I mean. I have another super secret project sort of in the works, only I screwed it up last night and have to start over. Since it has to be gifted in a week’s time, I’ll post photos much sooner than the other super secret project. It’ll be awesome, I promise.

And now I’m going to go off and feel sorry for myself until the Advil kicks in.

About HappyGoth

By day, I'm a graphic designer. By night, I'm a knitter. I'm doing my part to keep Hotlanta stylish. I imagine that if you don't already understand the title of the blog, you're probably confused and perhaps slightly annoyed, but never fear - I do have a reason (and it's a good one). Having gone to hear Stephanie Pearl McPhee, and then having been inspired to blog about knitting, I found myself wondering what to call the blog. I recalled a conversation I had with Mouse and the Chicken Goddess about why it is a Bad Idea to anger knitters - this conversation was following SPM, aka the Yarn Harlot telling the assembled throng about Those Who Do Not Understand Knitting and Therefore Belittle It Much to the Chagrin of Others, or TWDNUKTBMCO, which is not the acronym she used but is the one I'm using because I forgot hers - that is, we are numerous and we all have very pointy sticks, easily transforming into an angry mob. Therefore, knitters = angry mob.
