Hello, happy readers!

All… um… six of you.

In the interest of keeping this fresh, Thursday will now be:

Another Blog To Read (As If You Didn’t Have Enough Already), otherwise known as ABTR(AIYDHEA). Or perhaps Other Blog Friday. Or Fred. I don’t know yet. However, this is the other blog for today:

A Year of Drawing

Categorically, these links will probably not be about knitting, and will instead be other ways to enrich/stupidify yourself further. And yes, I mean stupidify, because often those are the most fun. The one above is an enriching sort of blog, and is very good, and is done by a coworker. She has a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Olive, who (as far as I can tell) is the best muse ever (and good fun, besides).

So… yeah.

About HappyGoth

By day, I'm a graphic designer. By night, I'm a knitter. I'm doing my part to keep Hotlanta stylish. I imagine that if you don't already understand the title of the blog, you're probably confused and perhaps slightly annoyed, but never fear - I do have a reason (and it's a good one). Having gone to hear Stephanie Pearl McPhee, and then having been inspired to blog about knitting, I found myself wondering what to call the blog. I recalled a conversation I had with Mouse and the Chicken Goddess about why it is a Bad Idea to anger knitters - this conversation was following SPM, aka the Yarn Harlot telling the assembled throng about Those Who Do Not Understand Knitting and Therefore Belittle It Much to the Chagrin of Others, or TWDNUKTBMCO, which is not the acronym she used but is the one I'm using because I forgot hers - that is, we are numerous and we all have very pointy sticks, easily transforming into an angry mob. Therefore, knitters = angry mob.

I vote for Fred. But, then, I used to have a sheep named Fred, so I’m quite partial to the name, for non-humans. (My other sheep was named Harry. I rarely name critters non-people names, and I was a weird kid.)
