Grrr. Arrgh.

And I still have no photos. The camera hates me.

I finished turning the heel of my jaywalker sock ALL BY MYSELF (yay!), and then did some more rows of the regular knitting, and then attempted to start my Little Red Riding Hoodie, but am knitting it in Malabrigo, so it’s not the correct gauge, and when I looked at it and thought about how wide it really is, discovered that it would never fit around my midsection, so I ripped it all out. Three times. I have not cast on again. I think that I’m going to have to use another kind of yarn for the project, or find another project for the yarn I have, because the thought of figuring out how to make it work is making my brain hurt.

Any suggestions for nice, easy cardigans that button and are attractive and are knit in a yarn that is 4-5 stitches per inch on size 8 needles? Anyone? Bueller?  (though my lack of posting means that exactly three people read this blog and that’s hardly a representative sample). I could use the advice.

Oh, and Happy New Year. The husband was happy that I cooked dinner (I rarely do) and that I did four loads of laundry. Also, I watched most of Firefly (except the last three episodes), though I’m not sure he had an opinion about that except that he forgot how funny Capt. Malcolm Reynolds can be. The night before we went to a party wherein there were many tasty foods and drinks, and good friends, and it was nice and quiet and small, just like I like it. Jennie B was going to come, but she always gets the flu this time of year and so she stayed home with her tea and soup and boyfriend. To tell the truth, that doesn’t sound too bad, only replace boyfriend with husband and cat, and you’ve got it.

I’m not telling my resolutions for the year. I believe it’s like a wish; if you tell, it won’t come true.

About HappyGoth

By day, I'm a graphic designer. By night, I'm a knitter. I'm doing my part to keep Hotlanta stylish. I imagine that if you don't already understand the title of the blog, you're probably confused and perhaps slightly annoyed, but never fear - I do have a reason (and it's a good one). Having gone to hear Stephanie Pearl McPhee, and then having been inspired to blog about knitting, I found myself wondering what to call the blog. I recalled a conversation I had with Mouse and the Chicken Goddess about why it is a Bad Idea to anger knitters - this conversation was following SPM, aka the Yarn Harlot telling the assembled throng about Those Who Do Not Understand Knitting and Therefore Belittle It Much to the Chagrin of Others, or TWDNUKTBMCO, which is not the acronym she used but is the one I'm using because I forgot hers - that is, we are numerous and we all have very pointy sticks, easily transforming into an angry mob. Therefore, knitters = angry mob.
